The Nebraska Society of Independent Accountants (NSIA) currently contributes $1000.00 annually to the NSA Scholarship Foundation. This contribution is to fund a $1000.00 scholarship award to a qualifying Nebraska student. Any monies received by NSIA for scholarship purposes is passed on to the NSA Scholarship Foundation. Following is some information about the Scholarship Foundation.
Each year, thousands of students contact the National Society of Accountants (NSA) seeking help to meet the ever-increasing costs of higher education. In response, the NSA Scholarship Foundation provides financial encouragement to promising accounting students across the country. The Foundation awards scholarships to undergraduates enrolled in a degree program at an accredited two or four year college or university. Applicants for awards are judged on the basis of scholastic achievement, demonstrated leadership ability and financial need. Selection of recipients is made by Scholastic Management Services located in St. Peter, Minnesota.
The NSA Scholarship Foundation, formed in 1969, is a 501(c)3, tax-exempt organization which relies on voluntary, tax deductible contributions to support its programs. To learn more about the NSA Scholarship Foundation, click here.
